new beat tape. 2010 shit. "The Old Man and the MPC" brings it back to the basics. just an old man and his mpc and some stacks of vinyl. this one is for all the hermits and introverts out there who don't give a fuck and stay on their grind. 1.
"Chip Tooth" is the name of my chiptunes project. for those who may or may not be familiar, chiptunes are music created by video game console sound chips. you can google for more info if you are interested.
"Chip Tooth" was created ENTIRELY on my nintendoDS. All sounds were created, and sequenced using the korgDS10 cart for DS. NO outside or external gear was used.
this one has honestly been done for awhile, posting it just kinda slipped my mind. so without further adieu, here it is. =]
Electro Ads is a tribute to John Baker, a jazz musician who worked for the BBC in the 1960s. he invented many techniques manipulating tape loops. One of the pioneers in sampling techniques, WAY ahead of his time.
the archaeologist brings you yet another tape from his beat collection, Commodore 64 Basic V.2. the 2nd installment in the C64 series. upgraded and ready to rock. basically, the C64 series is made using a device called a "monome" (google that shit). triggering and manipulating loops in real-time. so what you hear is being sequenced/played in the moment. the beats are being created as they are recorded. totally free form, totally free. suck on that.
space cadet has returned again from the depths of the galaxy. mission II is a collection of artifacts and sounds uncovered during that journey. these artifacts and sounds have been translated by NASA's top scientists working around the clock into a format suitable and safe for the human auditory canal. the result is 29 tracks of pure space madness. drink the kool aid.
Cave Dwellers dropping their third album out of a rip in the space- time continuum. "Cosmic Gossip" is 12 tracks of unadulterated unplanned madness from the madmen themselves. artwork by e moore (paintings) and tuff ghost (photoshops). thank you.
another beat tape for you all. a tribute to the record archive, one of the best digging spots ever. this particular tape was pieced together from records i purchased there over the summer during a visit home in Rochester.
we are trying something new with this release. you can listen to each track individually before you download, and download specific tracks if you'd like. however u wont get the album art. (album art is included with entire album download)
new track floating around, vocals by C Truth (1/2 of the count's ill). beat made by me. seems to be a popular beat, lol. (3 ppl have used it so far, the more the merrier i say!) its off the 8 bit junkie disc (duh) we've done a few tracks in the past that are out there somewheres.
much more to come before 2009 is out. be on the look out for: Chip Tooth (made ENTIRELY on my nintendo ds) it all started with a trip to the archive (beats recorded to analog tape and back) NBA Jams (23 beats dedicated to the greats of the NBA) Electro Ads (EP made from ads from the BBC back in the 60s and 70s, tribute to John Baker) Mission II (space cadet 2nd album) Cave Dwellers albums 2 (inner world) and 3 (cosmic gossip) (who else puts out 3 albums in less than 6 months????) more tracks with my favorite super hero and fellow left hander GREEN HORNET
cave dwellers is: e moore (words) archaeologist and space cadet (beats)
what is a cave dweller u might wonder?
we are a music/art/life collective bent on stayin indoors.
a cave dweller is "one who moves inwards- stays to themselves in an environment designed for creative happenings instead of pursuing fleeting pleasures in the outer world. the cave dwellers are also a music/..poetry/..spiritual group currently consisting of the archeaologist, space cadet and e moore."
